ArcGIS Mission is available in ArcGIS Enterprise. ArcGIS Mission is a geospatial communications and situational awareness app that provides managers, analysts, and responders with a comprehensive view of an operating environment and helps coordinate movement and communication among team members. ArcGIS Mission is composed of three components: ArcGIS Mission Manager, ArcGIS Mission Responder, and ArcGIS Mission Server.
The ArcGIS Mission Manager web app is where missions are built and organized. ArcGIS Mission Responder allows mission engagement through a mobile app. ArcGIS Mission Server is an ArcGIS Enterprise server that links Manager and Responder. For more information, see What is ArcGIS Mission.
ArcGIS Mission Manager
The following are new in the most recent version of Manager:
- Tasking enhancements—Nonlocation required tasking, task type assignments, assigning a task to multiple members of a mission, and self assignment of a task can be accomplished.
- Chat Importance—Mission chats can be marked as important to alert recipients that the contents require a heightened level of awareness.
- Geofencing—Mission creators can create geofences from Edit Map, which are honored by Responder devices in the field. Geofences can be authored with entry and exit parameters to alert Responder users when they are entering or exiting an area of significance.
- Flooraware Support—You can interact with the map and switch the view between layers to gain enhanced information of a building's floor plans, level by level.
- Keyboard Shortcuts—Manager navigation is easier and more accommodating with the introduction of keyboard shortcuts.
- Living Atlas Support—Administrators can configure ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World layer access. These layers are also accessible when creating or configuring a mission map.
ArcGIS Mission Responder
In Location Sharing Settings, Responder users have greater control over their device's battery and track data to suit any mission type.
